Jack Hateley
Kia ora, I’m Jack, a second-year Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) student at the University of Canterbury, majoring in Chemical & Process Engineering. When I’m not studying, I love baking, listening to music, dancing, running, and skiing in winter.
I grew up on the West Coast, spending my early years in Westport before attending boarding school at Garin College in Nelson. At Garin, I was a high-achieving student, earning Excellence Endorsements in NCEA Levels 1 & 2 and a Merit Endorsement in Level 3. I was also recognized multiple times as the “Top Male Scholar.”
I have experience tutoring and am confident in teaching Calculus and Physics to Level 3, as well as Chemistry and Maths to Level 2. My goal is to help students understand concepts clearly and reach their full potential. I tailor my tutoring approach to each student’s needs, ensuring they feel supported and confident in their learning.
Whether it's breaking down complex problems or providing study strategies, I’m here to help. I enjoy seeing students grow in their understanding and achieve success. I look forward to working with students and making learning an enjoyable experience!
