Amy Simmons

Hello! I'm Amy, a 22-year-old dental student at the University of Otago.

My academic journey began at Baradene College in Auckland, where I completed my schooling from years 7 to 13. During high school, I achieved an overall excellence endorsement in NCEA levels 1, 2, and 3, excelling in subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Calculus, and Accounting. During my time in high school, I had the privilege of being advanced a year in Mathematics, and I received first in my year group in accounting in both levels 2 and 3. 

In 2020, I embarked on my journey at Otago University, beginning with First Year Health Sciences, with a clear goal of gaining entry into the field of dentistry. In 2021, my dream came true when I was accepted into the Dentistry program at Otago University. Since then, I've earned Distinctions in challenging dental papers like DENT262 and DENT462. 

Beyond academics I enjoy relaxing with friends and family, and playing social sports such as basketball and touch.

As a tutor and compassionate dental student, I find joy in sharing knowledge and guiding others to succeed. Let's work together to achieve your academic goals!
