Zoe McConnell
Kia Ora! I'm Zoe, currently in my first year at the University of Otago, studying towards a Bachelor of Science with a major in Neuroscience and a minor in Psychology. Before starting university, I embarked on a transformative gap year where I explored different roles and experiences around the world.
During this time, I worked as a Deli Supervisor, a Waitress, and a Housekeeper at a prestigious 5-star resort. I also had the incredible opportunity to be a Camp Counselor at a Performing Arts camp in New York, where I taught children circus skills and provided caregiving.
Beyond work, I spent a month backpacking through Southeast Asia, immersing myself in diverse cultures, and followed this with a premedical internship at a hospital in Sri Lanka. These experiences not only broadened my horizons but also deepened my passion for learning and understanding different perspectives.
Now at university, I bring a wealth of practical experience and a deep appreciation for different learning styles. I've studied subjects including Music, Chemistry, Physics, English, Calculus, and Biology up to NCEA Level 3, which equips me to support students across various disciplines and assessments. I'm eager to share my knowledge and support you in achieving your academic goals!
