Danielle Stephenson - Dunedin tutoring Coordinator

Danielle is the Tutoring Coordinator for Hazlett Tutoring Centre. Originally from Hawke’s Bay, Danielle made the move to Dunedin in 2020 to study Biomedical Science (majoring in Immunity and Infection).

Throughout her time at university, she found her passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping people so enrolled to complete the Master of Teaching and Learning, endorsed in Secondary, in 2024. Danielle has at Tolcarne Boarding Residence over the last three years as a House Supervisor, so has built strong relationships with the girls.

As a tutoring coordinator, it is Danielle’s role to be the link between Tolcarne and Hazlett by ensuring each student is linked up with a knowledgeable tutor, tutoring sessions are coordinated to fit around the girl’s busy schedules, as well as to act as a facilitator between students and tutors, ensuring each tutoring session is enjoyable and maximises every learning opportunity.
