Tommy Witaker
Hi, I’m Tommy, currently in my fifth year completing a double degree in Law and Commerce, Majoring in Finance, at the University of Otago.
Originally from Christchurch, I attended Christ’s College, where I achieved excellence endorsements in all three NCEA Levels. Additionally, I gained NZQA subject scholarships in Economics, Health and Physical Education, and Statistics. Upon graduating from Christ’s College I was awarded the Barnett Prize for statistics. More recently, my academic achievements were acknowledged with the University of Otago Cengage Award for excellence in first-year Business Statistics, along with inclusion in the Otago Business School Dean’s List.
During my time at school, I served as the Head of Service prefect, while also actively participating in sports such as football, cricket, and volleyball. In my free time, I indulge my passion for the outdoors, spending summers playing tennis, surfing and enjoying the beach, and winters skiing. I‘m enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge and helping others. As a tutor, I look forward to supporting and assisting you in achieving your goals. I am happy to tutor Economics and Statistics up to Level 3, Physics up to Level 2, and general Mathematics up to Level 1.
